Let's End This Pleasantly, Sen. Clinton

While the difference in delegates between Senators Obama and Clinton is nowhere near that between McCain and Huckabee, people are feeling as though the relative hasn’t left, yet again, but now is going to stay through to July – or as long as it takes.

Might as Well Let Chelsea Run

McCain, Choose a Black VP

Reagan reminded us, that he too made a good number of trips to various countries with his father while he was president.  “In fact,” he says, “I was in the room when my
father gave permission to Ed Meese to tell the military they could shoot down the Libyan planes over the Gulf of Sidra."

What would we all say if McCain announced that his only criterion for choosing a running mate is that the person be a minority.  Maybe a female?  Or a Latino to bring diversity?  Almost all of America would be incensed!
McCain's Visit to Iraq: Setting Another Example

Barack Obama, A Uniting Force
Although the other
candidates have heard reports on the state of Iraq, reports
rarely impart the same knowledge as experience.  It wouldn’t be
surprising if the Democratic nominee jumps onto the
bandwagon of Iraqi visits, recognizing the importance of this firsthand
experience on the issue.

I recall the first time I
heard him speak.
I felt a surge of hope and inspiration that I had not felt for some
time. Tears began to roll down my face in response to this renewed
feeling of hope and confidence in the future of my country.

Forging Alliances

The Ties that Bind: Is Race Stronger than Beliefs?

With comments such as that
from Geraldine Ferraro about
Barack Obama only being successful in his presidential campaign because
of his race, it seems necessary for the African
American community to continue to defend itself.

Is it not a good thing
that the United States has progressed so much (though definitely not
completely) that I have not experienced these racial
inequities and thus cannot relate?  That I am finally judged by my
character rather than by the color of my skin?
